The Windsor Yacht Club prides itself as host to multiple outstanding races on Lake St. Clair, including weekly WYC Wednesday Night Race Series, The Canadian Club Race and Chimo Race.  WYC encourages you to support our local sailing community by visiting our patio on Wednesday Nights  May 14- October 5 in 2025 and raise a glass to the outstanding sailors as they cross the finish line.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT RACES

This weekly race series is enormously popular with sailors from around the area and with WYC members who enjoy exciting finish-line views from our patio. Reservations suggested for this well-attended event. Read more.

Overall Series: Includes the Spring, Fall and Chimo Races.
Spring Series: Includes races on May 14, 21, 28  June  4, 11, 18, 25, 2025.
Fall Series: Includes races on August 13, 20, 27, September 3, 10, 17, 25, 2025.
Chimo Race:  October 1, 2025. The Chimo Race must be raced by participants of the Wednesday Night Race Full Series to be eligible and or qualify for the WYC Overall Awards.

CHIMO RACE

This an end-of-season event open to sailors of all clubs in the Windsor and Detroit area. 
The Chimo Race must be raced by participants of the Wednesday Night Race Overall Series to be eligible and or qualify for the WYC Overall Awards.

RACE AWARD BANQUET

Come celebrate the completion of another exciting season of racing at Windsor Yacht Club’s 2024 Race Awards Night on
Saturday, October 18th 2025. 

Our evening program will include awards for:  Canadian Club Windsor Overnight Race, Wednesday Night Spring/Fall series, and Chimo Race

Flags for winning yachts & perpetual trophy awards for the Canadian Club Race and the Windsor Yacht Club Racing series will be presented following dinner to skippers attending.

Cocktails: 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Dinner: 7:00 p.m.
Awards: 8:00 p.m.
